Easy to use and effective.  If you manage to copy photos from a computer to an iPad, e.g. to DCIM/100APPLE, they are still not shown.  Easy with this app:  Start the app, then, on the computer, in a browser, go to 192.168.2.90:8080, click on some button in the browser window, select the picture files to send, then, on the iPad, tap “Receive”, the pictures are transferred via WiFi, and will be shown in the camera roll in a an album called “Image Transfer”.

“I downloaded the free version of this and tested with one photo, copying it from my PC desktop to my phone. Worked great so I paid for the full version.
